Preserving and Growing Seattle’s Chinatown International District
The Washington State China Relations Council and the Seattle Shanghai Expats Society invite you to meet and hear from the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Seattle Chinatown International Preservation Authority (SCIDpda). Chairperson Cindy Ju will share with us how the organization works to preserve, promote, and develop the Seattle Chinatown International District. She will discuss the effort being extended to maintain Chinatown as a diverse and vibrant neighborhood.
This will be an informal, in-person event and participants are encouraged to bring along snacks/drinks to share. Registration is required. Please email manw@wscrc.org to RSVP.

Cindy Ju, Chair of the Board of Directors of SCIDpda (Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority)
Cindy is a real estate professional with Hines Real Estate focused on acquisitions and development. She is passionate about creating a positive impact on community economic outcomes and placemaking via investing in urban development and real estate. Her prior work experience includes investment banking at Houlihan Lokey and hedge fund experience in Oaktree Capital Management.
Cindy received her MBA from the Harvard Business School and her bachelor’s degree in finance and operations & information management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Xingdi Zhou, Founder, Seattle Shanghai Expats Society
Xingdi left China in late 2016 and created the Seattle Shanghai Expats Society as a way for those who have a connection to China to gather to discuss topics of interest on a monthly basis. She is currently a Financial Advisor at RW Baird. Prior to moving to the US, Xingdi worked in investment banking as well as in executive positions in Fortune 500 companies.
Xingdi is a graduate of Wuhan University and has an MBA from the China European Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai.
