On May 23, 2017 WSCRC convened the third session of its Policy Briefing Series (PBS) with an off-the-record briefing from Consul-General of the Republic of Korea Moon Duk-ho on “North Korea’s Nuclear Program: Implications for Washington State and US-China-Korea Relations.” The WSCRC PBS engages leading subject-matter experts from government, industry, law, and technology communities to provide in-depth insights on current key issues in US-China-WA relations.
Consul General Moon Duk-ho of the Republic of Korea in Seattle assumed the position in March, 2014. As a career diplomat for more than 30 years, Moon has served in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the French Republic, Erbil, Iraq, and three terms in New York City, USA, once as an expert panel for the UN Security Council’s North Korea Sanctions Committee. His immediate past position was Director-General for African and Middle Eastern Affairs in Seoul Korea.
Attendees represented the corporate and legal sectors as well as academia.
