Featured speakers Bob Deane, International Trade Specialist, and Christine Kelley, Commercial Officer (Guangzhou), U.S. Commercial Service, International Trade Administration, US Department of Commerce will discuss the essentials of exporting to China: how to find a market, find a partner, understand customs requirements, access consumers, and more. This session would be beneficial to Washington state companies and entrepreneurs interested in exporting to China.
Bob Deane is a Senior International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Commercial Service-Seattle, U.S. Department of Commerce, and responsible for providing U.S. Government export promotional services to U.S. firms. Bob is responsible for industry sectors that include architecture/construction/engineering services, building products, and the healthcare sector. He has been with the Department for 18 years, serving in a number of capacities, as a team leader for the Asia Pacific Team and a member of the Environmental and Design Build Teams, and completed a Temporary Duty Assignment in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Christine is a Commercial Service Officer with the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service currently serving at the U.S. Export Assistance Center in Seattle, Washington. Prior to her assignment in Seattle, Christine served as a Commercial Officer in Guangzhou, China, from 2017 to 2018 where she was responsible for promoting U.S. exports and helping American companies to level the playing field.
